Invite Applications for Admission to the Fellow Programme in Management (FPM)
The Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) is the Doctoral Programme of the IIMs

Commencing from June 2008

Who can apply? Scholarly pursuit requires above all a passion for knowledge and the perseverance to develop ideas and paradigms. FPM aims to admit individuals with exceptional academic background,
strong motivation, and potential to become excellent researchers at international levels. The applicants
are therefore evaluated on a variety of criteria including, past academic achievements,
scores on standard test, and a personal interview with faculty.
Eligibility: Eligibility varies in different IIMs it includes: * Post-graduation with Institute-specific cut-off.
* B.E. / B.Tech. with Institute-specific cut-off.
Final year students appearing for any of tile above examinations in any relevant discipline can also apply.
* CA, ICWA, CS, and other professional qualifications with Institute-specific cut-off.
* Minimum scores in secondary and higher secondary with Institute-specific cut-off.
Interested candidates are required to take the Common Admission Test (CAT) of IIMs or GMAT/GRE/GATE/ UGC-JRF for some of the specific areas. For CAT details, refer to the advertisement that has appeared in leading dailies on 15 July 2007. There are some provisions for the PGP alumni of IIMs to apply directly and seek waiver of the first year.
What financial support does FPM offer? Institute-specific monthly fellowship ranging from Rs.7,000 to Rs.15,000 is provided to the students. In addition to this, they are offered an annual contingency grant for buying books/hardware/software, etc., and financial support for attending national and international conferences. IIMs also offer opportunities to students to apply for a variety of awards and fellowships instituted by various corporate houses. No tuition fee is charged.
The duration of FPM is normally four years.

Post-Doctoral Fellowships in Management

 

IIMT invites applications for Post-Doctoral Fellowships in Management: The institution of Post-Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) at the Icfai University is a way to promote research, enable infusion of new ideas and recent knowledge as well as create a set of potential candidates to further enrich the teaching fraternity at Icfai Business School. Research scholars who have recently finished their Ph.D degree seeking to expand their research competencies either by moving into new academic disciplines or obtaining knowledge and skills in addition to those obtained in their doctoral programs are encouraged to apply.
The Icfai University PDF program will be rigorous with periodic review of the progress of the approved individual research proposal vis-à-vis benchmarks and milestones set. All fellows will be required to submit reports periodically describing their work progress during the two-year period. Fellows will also be required to submit the final completed research report at the end of the two-year fellowship. The Fellowships, to the extent possible, will be designed to meet the individual and organizational academic objectives.
The scholarly work culture at Icfai Institute for Management Teachers, (a constituent of Icfai University) where the scholar will have to pursue his / her research, will encourage creative research work. The research outputs which emerge will have to
find place for publication in internationally acclaimed refereed journals. 
Qualifications: * Those who have completed their Ph.D degree or equivalent recently, (within the last three years).
* Those candidates who have submitted their Ph.D thesis and are awaiting oral defence. However, if selected they should complete the doctorate degree by the time they join.  * The Doctorate degree may be in Management or allied disciplines. 
Responsibilities: * Publication of papers, articles in refereed journals.  * Pursuing the approved research proposal and submission of research report.  * Teaching one MBA or Ph.D level course per semester. 
Tenure and Pay:  * The Fellowship is for a period of two years.  * Fellowship amount: Rs. 30,000 per month.
* Annual contingency grant: Rs. 25,000.   * Funding for participation in International conferences as per rules. 
On successful completion of the Fellowship, the Fellow may be considered for an appropriate faculty position in
Icfai Business School / IIMT.
Selection Procedure: Applicants have to submit a 2000 word Research Proposal detailing the research activity proposed to be undertaken during the two-year period in the format given with the application form. An expert committee will shortlist the applicants based on their research proposal and qualifications and will be called for interview. Final selection will be made
by the Selection Committee.

Indian Institute of Forest Management

Admission Announcement: Fellow Programme in Management (FPM)
(Four Year Full-time Course 2008-2012 Batch)

The application form will be available from 1st September 2007 and
the last date of submission of completed form is 5th December, 2007

Eligibility: Masters degree in relevant discipline with at least 60% marks with good academic records
or PGDFM from IIFM or PGDBM from IIM with minimum OGPA of 3.33 out of 4.33 or equivalent.
How to apply: Interested candidates are required to take the Common Admission Test (CAT) of IIMs to be held on 18th November 2007. Sale of CAT application forms started w.e.f. 16.07.2007 and closes on 16.08.07. The IIFM will use the CAT score only for short-listing of the candidates for FPM. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme. Alternatively, candidates who have qualified UGC/CSIR/NET/GATE/PGDFM/PGDBM from IIFM/IIM with minimum OGPA of 3.33 can apply directly without appearing for CAT.
